Graphic designer needed at Sister 2 Sister magazine

Sister 2 Sister magazine in Takoma Park, Md., has an immediate need for a creative, detail-oriented, organized graphic designer with print publication experience and an eye for typography to create dynamic editorial pages for our monthly entertainment and lifestyle magazine. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Position responsibilities include:
-Graphic layout
-Scanning and color correcting photos
-PDF workflow
-Creating design concepts for promotional materials
Candidates should have strong skills in Quark XPress, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Previous experience designing consumer magazines a big plus, but other design experience will be considered.
Sister 2 Sister is a national monthly magazine that takes its readers into the lives of African-American movie, music and sports stars. Only S2S gives it to ya straight, no chaser.
