Internship opportunity at WYPR’s “Maryland Morning” show
August 29, 2008
“Maryland Morning” with Sheilah Kast, at WYPR public radio in Baltimore has openings for a couple of production interns. The schedule is flexible, although we are looking for a commitment of 10 to 15 hours per week through the semester. Interns don’t need radio experience, but we expect them to have a basic grasp of news judgment, research standards and writing skills. We’re a daily morning interview show that focuses on public policy, history, literature and the arts in Maryland.
This is not a do-nothing internship. Our interns can be very involved in planning parts of our show, as well as researching, writing and editing some segments. The extent of their impact depends on how much of their time, energy and intellect they put into it.
There’s information about our interview show at www.marylandmorning.org
Interested students should contact senior producer John Notarianni by e-mail or phone (410-735-1612) or Sheilah Kast (phone is 410-735-1601).
