September 12, 2008

Bmore Live is looking for part-time minimester, spring and summer interns to write stories and complete some additional tasks. Writing is the main focus of the internship. The intern would write about topics of interest to young people living in Baltimore City, including music, art, restaurants and theater. Stories are generally 300-400 words each. Additional tasks include copy editing, compiling event listings and posting stories online.

Bmore Live is a monthly nightlife and entertainment magazine based in Baltimore with a print circulation of 67,000. It also has a smaller weekly edition that runs inside of the Baltimore Guide newspaper. The Web site, www.bmorelive.com, has a growing presence in the city.

Applicants should have published clips and a working knowledge of AP style, but creativity and hard work matter more than experience. We can work out the hours according the your schedule. Previous interns have worked two full days each week. To apply, send a resume and clips to Managing Editor Laura Greenback.
